Things to know

  • It is every 1st Friday
  • Members can sell their goods
  • Ace Sells stuff to raise funds
  • We bring projects
  • We don’t stay till the end.,.. we close up at 8pm-ish or when the crowd thins
  • There are prep and reset shifts too

Staffing Roles

Prep Team Jobs

This team is responsible for packing and staging for the event. This usually happens 4 to 2 days prior to the event. Good staging results in a stack of equipment and bins that are ready to grab and go. This usually takes 2-3 people 1-2 hours.

First Friday Prep, Load and Setup Instructions (see packing list tab)

  • Organizes bins
  • Gathers Activity Goods (usually button making)
  • Sets up Sales Goods (AMT Tshirts, Member Goods)
  • Gathers Marketing material
  • Checks/Gets Batteries
  • Gathers Equipment (tables, structures, signs, chairs (not the fancy ones))

Load-in Crew Jobs

This crew loads into the event and sets up the booth.

  • Meets at Ace at 3pm
  • Checks in with OFF and Get’s Booth Location
  • Posts Booth Location to Slack
  • Sets Up Booth
  • Needs to be able to lift 40lbs

Booth Staff

These are the folks that actually talk to folks! Use marketing material to explain what ACE is, help people make something, and sell for Ace and member products

The minimum staff is 2 people at all times. More folks are okay

Strike Crew

This crew gets us off the street. Usually, the booth crew is beat by this point.

  • Parks nearby with a hatchback or small SUV (some double parking possible)
  • Comes and packs up the booth
  • Loads all the goods back into ACE for the Reset Team to handle the next day
  • Needs to be able to lift 40lbs
  • Needs 2 people minimum

Reset Team

This team of 2 people puts everything back to rights. This team does the reset the Saturday or Sunday following First Fridays and it can be completed by 2 people in about an hour. Coordinate times when you sign up.

  • Sort through the goods that came back from the event
  • Put away tools and activity supplies
  • Put away equipment and banners
