”’Cleaning The Filters”’

The filters on the side of the chiller should be cleaned at least once a month. If the filters get clogged then the chiller will not be able to operate efficiently. To clean the filters, unscrew the plates, pop out the filters, and vacuum them. (Then put it all back.)

”’Adding Water To The Chiller”’

If the chiller doesn’t have enough water to operate, it will set off an intermittent alarm (beeping and blinking of the alarm light). The chiller needs to be refilled when the water runs low, or it will not have enough water to cool the laser and the laser will heat up during operation. Refilling the chiller is straightforward.

1. Check the water level indicator on the back of the chiller to determine if the water is low. The water level may fall below the bottom of the indicator if it is too low.

2. Unscrew the cap on top of the chiller and add water to the chiller. Bottled or distilled water is greatly preferable.

3. Re-check the water level indicator. The indicator doesn’t start to fill until the water level is near full, so don’t be surprised if it remains empty at first. The user manual recommends keeping the chiller filled with 5 liters of water (roughly 1.25 gallons).
